JOB SUMMARY:   

The ideal candidate is a results oriented, well-rounded, self-starter who brings a high level of energy, can thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and can seamlessly switch between several roles: a leadership role managing direct reports, a high-profile presentation role presenting the budget and analytics to the executive management team, and a hands-on analytical/problem solving role. The ideal candidate is outgoing, will proactively speak up and make actionable recommendations and is not afraid to challenge the status quo. The right person will have solid, and proven, accounting, cash management, and FP&A experience. The Director of Finance will work hand-in-hand with in-country managers and c-level executives across the Company and is expected to contribute to the profitability of the Company. This position will be a business partner with both the Corporate Controller and Treasurer and as such is expected to have a very strong accounting and cash flow management background.  

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the LATAM planning & analysis team in the monthly forecasting and annual planning processes, specifically:
    • Accurately produce cohesive, operationally sound, and meaningful balance sheet, cash flow, and p&l forecasts on a regular basis
    • Present financial statements and assumptions to senior Company leadership
    • Align the plan and forecast to valid operating metrics that drive unit based financial inputs
  • Improve forecast accuracy and improve efficiency by re-engineering and applying best practices in budgeting, reporting and consolidation processes to reduce cycle times to reporting
  • Prepare consolidated reporting packages with assessment and review of key metrics, business drivers and trend analysis identifying variations to plan and historical comparisons
  • Support the country GMs by providing financial perspectives, insight and analysis to drive wise business decisions
  • Primary accounting officer for the region
  • Able to initiate and maintain local banking and large supplier relationships
  • Primary finance point of contact for local banking and large vendors
    • Able to effectively initiate and build valued relationships
  • Cash flow management, forecasting, and reporting 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:   

  • Proficient with Microsoft Project, MS Office
  • High-energy, team player with a proven track record of exceptional collaboration with others, including leadership, strategic, analytical and persuasion skills 
  • Strong communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively 
  • Must be self-motivated, able to be involved in the day-to-day decisions and details as well as interact and present information in executive summary format 
  • Ability to interface with teams in a distributed, geographically diverse environment and to drive results with people or organizations remotely located
  • Must be a highly motivated and inspired leader that possesses strong organizational skills, communication skills and is able to articulate ACN’s programs and business strategies to others
  • Candidate must possess excellent analytical skills 
  • Very good understanding of US GAAP
  • Ability to apply correct economic and accounting solutions when non-straightforward business situations arise (practical application ability)
  • Self-starter and finisher
  • Able to self-check and correct work prior to submission and distribution
  • Able to support finance leadership and in-region country leaders equally well
  • Vendor negotiation skills and demonstrated success in delivering successful negotiated results
  • Prior, direct business experience operating in LATAM countries
  • Must be fluent in Spanish and English 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and or Finance required
  • CPA required, MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting, cash management and financial analysis experience
  • PeopleSoft and AS 5 experience is a plus 
  • This position will be based in Concord, NC and International travel will be required on a regular basis
