JOB SUMMARY: The Business Operations Analyst is in charge of conducting extensive, accurate analysis of their business unit performance. The main duties include gathering data and providing analytical insights to assist the business in making more informed decisions. This role will also analyze cross-departmental business processes for efficiency.


  • Analyze and prepare financial and operational presentations; including variance analysis, trending, KPIs and margin analysis
  • Interact with all levels of leadership to gather, analyze, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, new product introductions, variance analysis, and operating forecasts
  • Develop and deliver valuable and actionable business information directly to our internal users
  • Leverage advanced software functionality to create user guided dashboards, scorecards, reports, queries, and summaries
  • Suggest improvements and enhancements to processes and systems in order to increase customer satisfaction and improve productivity & efficiency
  • Recognizing and acting on appropriate opportunities to increase benefit through additional analysis
  • Keeping apprised of reporting best-practices, and recommending visualizations to best represent the data
  • Extract, combine, and filter data sets from source systems and warehouse, as well as utilizing external data sources to meet internal client specifications
  • Additional ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed


  • Presentation development as well as strong written and oral communications skills
  • Organized and professional
  • Self-motivated and resourceful with a driven mindset
  • Advanced mathematical skills to initiate, review and generate graphs, numeric data as well as statistics
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and as a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to quickly learn various in-house or common database reporting and analysis tools
  • Sense of urgency – ability to work well in high pressure situations and meet deadlines
  • Expert in creating dashboards and data visualization
  • Advanced knowledge of Business Object or equivalent data visualization tool
  • Experience with accruals, closings, revenue, and cost


  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • 3+ years of reporting and analytical experience
